Good news for admirers of Sam Worthington – the Australian actor is back on the market.

According to numerous reports, the 34-year-old and his long-term girlfriend Natalie Marks, 24, have gone their separate ways after nearly three years together.

They have not been seen in public since last October, when they were spotted at a basketball game in Madison Square Gardens.

"It's been on the cards for a while now, I believe," a source told Australia's Daily Telegraph.

Sam, who was born in Surrey but moved with his family to Perth as a baby, and Natalie (pictured in September) met while she was working for his Australia-based management company.

He once confessed that despite his recent breakout success – as well as Avatar, he has starred in Terminator Salvation and Clash of the Titans – she helped him stay grounded.

"She keeps me in line," he admitted. "She makes me do the washing."
