Fans of Terry Wogan's breakfast show were deeply saddened by his recent announcement he was leaving the programme.
But they can perhaps take heart in the news this is by no means the end of the road for the popular presenter who has confirmed he has a number of projects on the go.
In fact, Limerick-born Terry has said he will continue to broadcast so much that the public will get "fed up" with him.
"I am not retiring; I am doing a weekly radio show and television," said the 71-year-old. "I am going to be all over the place like a cheap suit!"
Referring to the reaction of some of his breakfast listeners - the Queen also reportedly listens to his show - Terry quipped: "Her Majesty has not written to me personally but there has been a tremendous reaction."
"It's very flattering but I would rather go while people still want me there, instead of saying, 'He's not bad for his age is he?'"
