Colin Firth: Oscar nomination is 'humbling'

2011 is already shaping up tp be a magnificent year for Colin Firth.

The actor, who has already pocketed a Golden Globe, is favourite to win an Oscar for his role as King George VI in hit film The King's Speech.

Speaking to the Daily Mail, the 50-year-old said: "Currently celebrating with my colleagues three feet above the ground. Not used to this much joy, or this much champagne at this hour.

"I know this is all happening around me but I haven't quite fathomed out that it's actually happening to me."

"It's very humbling and what I must not forget is that I am just one small part of a much larger team. George VI was a very brave man and it makes it easier for me to understand why our present Queen is such an extraordinary woman."
