Colin Firth is off to the palace to collect CBE honour
Britain's most popular actor is on his way to Buckingham Palace to receive an honour from the Queen.
Colin Firth will be made a CBE – Commander of the British Empire.
His Italian wife Livia tweeted on Thursday: "On our way to #BuckinghamPalace 4 Colin's CBE!
She added: "This is a royal #GreenCarpetChallenge!" – a reference to her commitment to wearing eco–friendly fashion.
It is an exciting time for the couple as Colin's Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy co-star Gary Oldman has just been nominated for an Oscar.
In response to Oldman's nomination, Livia tweeted: "OMG OMG OMG #GaryOldman nominated 4 Oscars!!! Colin and I r in HEAVEN! #TinkerTailor so happy!!!"
