Presenter Richard Keys resigns from Sky Sports
Following Sky Sports’ decision to sack Andy Gray on Tuesday, TV presenter Richard Keys has resigned.
The two men were caught up in a sexism row which led to Andy losing his job. Fifty-three-year-old Richard’s decision comes after 20 years of working for the channel.
Confirming his departure he said: “I am deeply sorry for my remarks and the offence they have caused; it was wrong and it should not have happened.”
He added: “I have thought long and hard and reached the decision that it is time to move on… I wish Sky Sports continued success in the future.”
