Olympic hopeful Tom Daley is now looking ahead to his individual performance in the men's 10m platform diving event on August 10.
Despite having narrowly missed out on a medal in Monday's 10m synchronised platform final with partner Peter Waterfield.
The 18-year-old optimistically tweeted, "so sorry everyone but we tried our best and you can't afford to miss a dive at this standard... bring on individual!"
Team GB's supporters at the Aquatic Centre, including Prime Minister David Cameron, kept morale high.
One fan, Francesca Clarke, 17, explained why she is so fond of the diver: "He's a role model. He trains hard and does his schoolwork" she said, adding "He's got the looks, the brains, and hopefully the medal."
Whilst this was not to be on Monday there are high hopes for Tom's individual event on August 10.
