Tennis star Tim Henman and his wife Lucy announced that they are “absolutely delighted” after welcoming their first child, a daughter named Rose Elizabeth, at a West London Hospital early Saturday morning.
Little Rose’s arrival went “smoothly” according to Tim, who spoke of how the birth of his daughter has changed his outlook on his life. “Tennis has been a huge part of my life and always will,” he says, “but all that concerns me is that the baby is healthy and Lucy is fine.”
“Nothing can compare with the arrival of your first child,” he continued. “Not even winning Wimbledon. After all, tennis is only a game.”
The British tennis ace, who, after losing a recent Masters Series match, confessed he was “a little distracted” about his pending fatherhood, will be jetting out to Basle on Tuesday to rejoin the ATP tour.
