Just two weeks after Paul McCartney and his wife Heather Mills joyfully announced they are expecting their first child together, the expectant mum's dad Mark Mills has revealed fears he won't be allowed to see his new grandbaby.

Heather, who claimed her father was violent towards the family in her autobiography, has not seen Mark in the past five years.

"I intend to visit the child," he told the Mail On Sunday, "but they may try to deny me access. If I am denied access I will go to court… There is no excuse for me not to be allowed to see my grandchild." He has been told by solicitors that he has a "good case" should he press the issue in a court of law.

The 60-year-old says he's "pleased" for Heather and Paul, and insists he simply wants to have a relationship with his only grandchild.

"I just want to have a place in the child's life, and buy little Christmas and birthday presents. Nothing more than that." He adds: "I don't want any money off her. I just want to be included in the family, that's all."
