It was by no means a master class in skiing with finesse.

Nevertheless, fun-loving Chris Evans strapped on his skis and showed his little boy Noah some of his best moves as he took part in a special sports challenge this week.

While dad braved the slopes – at times forced to travel on his back – the one-year-old tot watched all the action from comfort of an inflatable ring pulled along by his mother Natasha Shishmanian.

Protected from the chilly conditions at the Hemel Hempstead Snow Centre in a woolly hat and baby boots, adorable Noah was photographed for proud Chris' Twitter page, snapped giggling as he took a spin on the ice.

The snowy family outing was in honour of Radio 2's latest Friday Breakfast Show Sporting Challenge, which saw 44-year-old Chris and sports presenter Jonny Saunders put through their paces by Ski Sunday presenter Graham Bell – dubbed a 'slalom ski-off'.

Chris is certainly throwing himself into his new radio role since he took over in January from veteran presenter Terry Wogan, 71, who fronted the show for 16 years.

Perhaps surprisingly both men have missed out on nominations at the Sony Radio Academy Awards, taking place on May 10, although Chris will still be at the London ceremony helping to present some of the awards.
