Tulisa Contostavlos sets the record straight about having plastic surgery

02 AUGUST 2014 Tulisa Contostavlos has opened up about the cosmetic procedures she has recently undergone.

Many of the former X Factor judge's fans were surprised to see a change in her appearance when she addressed the press at Stratford Magistrates Court after being found guilty of assault, prompting Tulisa to set the record straight about how much plastic surgery she has had.

"Yes, I've had my lips done,"
the 26-year-old told the Guardian. "I'm happy with my lips. And I also had a tiny bit of filler in my cheeks.

"Pictures of me where my face was swelling," she added. "I had water retention – where you have filler your face draws up a load of water so my face began to swell like a balloon.

"And this is when people thought I'd had surgery and said, 'what's she done? She's ruined her face'".

When quizzed about why she decided to undergo the changes, Tulisa said "It was a choice I made. I'd lost a load of weight and I was looking at my face and felt…

"It really bugs me when people say I've had a nose job," she added. "That’s just makeup."

The Camden-born singer explained that the dramatic change in her appearance was also due to her weight dropping to 7st 11lbs during the year of her drugs trial.

"[After] losing a stone, [having] filler in my cheeks, my lips done and the contouring – people do think, oh gosh, you look so different."

Allegations that Tulisa had supplied class A drugs were dropped on 21 July when Judge Alistair McCreath threw out the case after ruling that there were "strong grounds" to believe that a witness for the prosecution, had lied to the court.

Tulisa has said she is already back in the recording studio to wprk on making new music and move on from the trial.
