Nicole Murphy prays for Jamie Foxx as he continues to battle unknown medical condition

Nicole Murphy, a model and long-time friend of Jamie Foxxhas shared her concern for the actor as he continues to recover from an unspecified medical condition. 

The highly-regarded talent in the entertainment industry, has been hospitalized for nearly two weeks due to this unforeseen health complication.

Speaking to PEOPLE on Saturday, Nicole, 55, expressed her heartfelt prayers for her dear friend.

 "I just pray everything will be okay. We love Jamie. You know, he's so talented and he's an iconic person. He's just amazing. He's like a brother to me, and I adore him," she said, adding: "I really pray that everything works out for the best for him."

The 55-year-old, is reportedly showing signs of improvement since his hospitalization in Georgia. 

According to the outlet the actor is "awake and alert" while doctors continue to run tests and observe his condition.

Corinne Foxx, Jamie's daughter, initially broke the news of her father's medical complication on April 11. 

However, specific details regarding his health remain private at the request of the Foxx family. 

In a statement, Corinne said, "Luckily, due to quick action and great care, he is already on his way to recovery. We know how beloved he is and appreciate your prayers. The family asks for privacy during this time."

Nicole’s kind words for Jamie came while attending the Gervonta Davis vs Ryan Garcia boxing match at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. 

The boxing enthusiast, is often seen at such events, and his absence was not unnoticed by Nicole. "He needs to be here, but he's gotta get well," she acknowledged.

The medical incident occurred while the actor was in Georgia to film the Netflix movie "Back in Action," co-starring Cameron Diaz and Glenn Close. 

It has been confirmed that the event did not take place on set and that Jamie was not transported to the hospital by an emergency vehicle. 

Production of the film resumed shortly after the incident, with a stunt double and a photo double filling in for Foxx during his hospitalization.
