Home delivery health food: The latest craze of celebrity fitness fans

05 SEPTEMBER 2012

Though hard to believe, women think about losing weight for roughly two years of their life – that's a whopping 44 minutes every day!

But for women struggling with daily commitments and wanting to eat well, fresh, healthy food can now be delivered right to your door, promising to take away the thought, time and effort that comes with dieting.

Spice Girl's star, Melanie B, says that when she is rushed for time she can count on these packages: "Their food is calorie counted, gourmet, and built to your exact needs. They're Brilliant!"

Other fans include the likes of model Lily Cole and singers Lily Allen and Florence Welch, who enjoy the ease of home-delivered food free of artificial colourings, preservatives, additives and GM products.

With many women struggling to juggle work and family commitments – and wanting to source the quickest route to a healthy nutritious diet – this scheme offers to provide a varied daily menu of delicious meals and treats packed full of yummy essential vitamins.

Packages of pre-prepared breakfast, lunch, dinner, desserts and snacks are delivered straight to your door or office leaving no excuse to skip meals or pick up an unhealthy substitute.

Companies such as Freshology have sparked success in America and Australia and now many of these services are becoming available throughout the UK, determined to show that fast food can be healthy.

Although some of these new schemes are part of dieting plans, others are fresh and gourmet. Many can now be catered to give specific health benefits like improving concentration at work or sustaining muscle whilst training.

Since founding the Pure Package, Jennifer Irvine has become a mother of three and so speaks from experience as well as science when creating programmes such as the ‘Pre & Post Baby Package'.

As well as saving time, this plan aims to relieve stress by replenishing reserves with just the right nutrients to cope with the physically challenging aspects of motherhood.
