Supermodel Erin O'Connor, who is currently penning her autobiography, has revealed that life as a runway queen is not without its pitfalls.

In the recent visually stunning John Galliano show in Paris, the catwalk beauty was transformed into an Egyptian king. "God, it was really challenging," she said afterwards. "First I was playing a man. Then I had to squeeze myself into a 16in corset and carry about 25lbs of extra bodyweight."

No doubt the experience will give the svelte beauty, who stands 6ft 1in tall, further experience to draw on in her budding career as a writer. The 25-year-old is currently penning her autobiography, though her first tome will concentrate mainly on her early years. "I've started writing my memoirs," she says. "It's going to have ten chapters and it's basically about my childhood."

Given that she also won the Most Stylish Model prize at the 2003 British Style Awards, Erin's career seems to be going from strength to strength. The statuesque beauty has even found a new beau in the shape of 6ft 4in TV presenter Jamie Theakston. "Things are going really well," she enthuses. "Height-wise, he's perfect!"
