The residents of Los Angeles are used to warm weather, but the temperatures in Hollywood soared even higher on Thursday evening when the Victoria's Secret girls took to the catwalk. Gisele Bundchen, Karolina Kurkova and Adriana Lima led a selection of the world's most beautiful women as they sashayed down the runway in the lingerie label's latest sizzling designs.

The lingerie label has a reputation for the theatrical and its latest extravaganza didn't disappoint. Sensual creations ranged from the tiniest lacy two pieces to flamboyant feathered gowns and quilted silver cloaks. There's no doubt the curvaceous beauties presenting the collection are as big a part of the attraction as the designs themselves, though.

One person who didn't have any complaints was chart-topper Justin Timberlake, the only male presence on the catwalk. The SexyBack singer was on hand to perform a medley of his hits, as the fashion industry's top mannequins strutted their stuff around him.

And the girls were making no secret of their desire to meet the statuesque performer. "I have always been his biggest fan," confessed Brazilian stunner Adriana before the show got underway. "I hope I will get the opportunity to meet him - it's going to be a long line!"

Hanging out with the music world's king of cool wasn't her only motivation for taking part in the event, though, as the Victoria's Secret show can be a major boost for any model's career. "After I started working with them, everything changed," revealed the 25-year-old. "I started walking down the street and suddenly people will turn around and say 'Look! The Victoria's Secret model.' I couldn't believe it."
