Mum-to-be Kate Hudson once said she was keen to search for "fun" maternity wear, and it seems she's kept her promise, showing off her bare bump in a two-piece evening gown at the Venice Film Festival.

In the Italian city to promote her latest film, Le Divorce, Kate strolled up the red carpet in the transparent creation, made up of a halter top and floor length skirt.

The actress also had a chance to show off more of her stylish pregnancy wardrobe earlier during her Venice jaunt, sporting a delicate peach creation as she greeted the press alongside her equally-elegant co-star Naomi Watts.

Other stars jetting into Venice over the weekend included film star Isabella Rossellini and Sir Anthony Hopkins, who was on hand for the screening of his new movie, The Human Stain, which co-stars Nicole Kidman.

The Oscar-winning actress, however, was not able to attend the festival as planned, reportedly because of an extremely tight working schedule.
