Pirates Of The Caribbean stars Orlando Bloom and Keira Knightley, who made for a romantic swashbuckling pair on the big screen, are now sharing another distinction – the top slot in the social scene's Little Black Book.

Tatler magazine has named the Middlesex-born starlet and the Lord Of The Rings heart-throb as the two hottest singles in the UK. The mag describes 18-year-old Keira as the "brightest young thing of her generation", while Orlando is dubbed "a budding superstar".

In the men's category, last year's winner, Prince Harry, dropped to fourth place, topped by the future Earl of Durham Fred Lambton in third place. The banking heir siblings Anthony and David de Rothschild occupy the runner-up seat. Surprisingly, Harry's elder brother William didn't even make the top ten.

Keira, meanwhile, reigned over royals, famous offspring and models who made the female top ten, including Zara Phillips, model the Hon Sophia Heskith and Lady Tamara Grosvenor, daughter of the Duke of Westminster.

Familiar names from entertainment also included in the top ten include Hugh Grant, Sir Mick Jagger's son James Jagger and Sting's daughter, Mickey Sumner.
