Tom Cruise unleashed his newfound uninhibitedness on New York on Thursday evening, not only kissing fiancée Katie Holmes in extravagant style, but planting a smacker on Steven Spielberg too.
The event was ostensibly the premiere of the Cruise/Spielberg mega-movie War Of The Worlds, but since Tom and Katie announced their engagement last week, the press ranks lining the red carpets have been more keen to catch the actor's public outbursts of affection than record the film's worldwide launch.
And the hitherto Mr Private did not disappoint. Not content with rocking young Katie back on her heels for a dramatic, plunging kiss, the 42-year-old then turned his attentions to startled Steven. Once again demonstrating that inimitable Cruise control, the Mission Impossible star firmly engaged the director in a friendly facelock before pressing his lips to the august Spielberg cheek.
The scene was completed by the presence of Tom's other new love – a pair of Earnest Sewn jeans. He's worn the trendy kecks at the Berlin, London and now New York premieres of his new movie, as well as to make the announcement of his engagement in Paris on June 16. |
