Mariah Carey had Las Vegas eating out of her hand after winning big at the Billboard Music Awards on Tuesday night. The sexy 35-year-old, who was named Female Artist of the Year, positively sizzled as she stepped onto the stage time after time in a figure-hugging chocolate and gold dress.

Gwen Stefani was also a winner at the ceremony, hosted by rap legend LL Cool J, where she was named New Artist of the Year. The former No Doubt frontwoman had turned on the glamour in a white mini-dress, accessorised with vibrant Frida Kahlo-style flowers. Hip hop star Kanye West walked away with the Artistic Achievement Award.
But the night undoubtedly belonged to Mariah, who has been on a roll this year. She jetted into the desert city from chilly London, where hours earlier she'd brought traffic to a standstill in Oxford Street as 5,000 fans waited for hours to catch a glimpse of The Emancipation Of Mimi singer.
After a madcap few weeks, the diva plans to unwind in the mountain resort of Aspen, but confesses she won't be doing too much skiing. "I'm spending Christmas in Aspen, which I love," says Mariah. "The only problem is, I take five hours to get ready... they've usually closed the slopes before I get to go and ski." |
