Tennis ace Novak Djokovic recently married his fiancée Jelena Ristic in Montenegro

Located not far from their Serbian homeland, the couple have holidayed frequently in Montenegro, and chose the breathtaking setting to make their dream of a wedding by the sea come true. Described by Novak as a "magical" venue, the Aman Sveti Stefan resort – with breathtaking views of pristine beaches and rugged cliffs overlooking the glistening Adriatic sea – was the perfect choice for the couple's three-day celebration.

The couple made their dream of a wedding by the sea true when they tied the knot in Montenegro

"We wanted everything to embrace the spirit of nature that we are surrounded by," 27-year-old Novak told HELLO! magazine exclusively at the time. The bride, meanwhile, referred to the Adriatic as "one of the most beautiful seas in the whole world."

The groom made the most of being by the beautiful sea on the winning couple's big day by taking a dip. And he had more than a mile of coastline to choose from, including the pink sandy beaches of Sveti Stefan, Miločer Beach and the famous Queen's Beach.

The childhood sweethearts shared their wedding exclusively with HELLO! magazine

Along with Novak and his new wife Jelena, the likes of Elizabeth Taylor, Sophia Loren and the late Princess Margaret have also visited the dreamy resort, which is renowned for its flawless beauty and rich heritage. Village Rooms at this secluded haven start at €950 per night and the most luxurious Sveti Stefan Suite comes with a price tag of €3,850.
