Katie Piper and Richard Sutton have celebrated their first anniversary as husband and wife! On Sunday, exactly 12 months after they tied the knot, Katie took to Instagram to share a previously unseen photo taken on her wedding day, writing a sweet dedication to her partner alongside.
The image shows the newlyweds smiling and holding hands as they are covered in confetti by their loves ones. "Can't believe this photo was taken 1 year ago today!" 33-year-old Katie captioned the snapshot. "Happy anniversary to my husband, what a great year it's been being Mrs Sutton."

Katie and carpenter Richard – parents to two-year-old daughter Belle – prefer to keep their romance out of the spotlight, so her fans were understandably delighted to see the wedding photograph. In just a few hours it had racked up thousands of likes and comments, with one follower writing: "You look beautiful and very happy. Happy anniversary Mr and Mrs Sutton!" Another added: "And you deserve to be so happy."
Katie recently opened up about her wedding to Richard, and their decision to keep it under wraps. "I'm the only person in my family who works in the TV industry and it was hard to explain to relatives, 'Please don't write about it on Facebook'," she told the Sunday People earlier this year.

"It was also hard on some of the people who provided services for the wedding as, understandably, they wanted to put it on their websites.
"We had to cancel it a couple of times because I was ill. But we shared it with our close family and friends, so everyone who knows us got to experience it.
"The whole chapter of getting married and having a baby was something I had hoped for – but I knew it was a luxury and it doesn't happen to everybody. I felt even more joyful because I wasn't sure if it was something I'd be privileged enough to experience."

Katie was an up-and-coming model when in March 2007 her ex-boyfriend arranged for a hitman to throw sulphuric acid in her face. After enduring multiple reconstructive surgeries, she waived her right to anonymity and made an award-winning TV documentary about her ordeal – which then led to a successful presenting career.
The brave British star has admitted that she still battles terrifying insecurities every day, but draws strength from Richard. "I feel so lucky to have met my husband – he's a gift from God," she said. "He's an amazing person who changed my life for the better.
"He has given me our daughter and it's one of the best things that has happened to me. I still feel like I'm on honeymoon!"
