Ozzy Osbourne's son Jack has been speaking out about his struggles with substance abuse. The 17-year-old, who checked into a rehabilitation clinic last week, says that his partying had simply got out of control.

"I got caught up in my new lifestyle and got carried away with drugs and alcohol," revealed Jack. "Once I realised this I voluntarily checked myself into a detox facility for my own health and wellbeing."

Rock wildman Ozzy, who has faced his own much-publicised battles with addiction, says his son has his full support. "It takes a lot of courage and strength to admit you need help," said the former Black Sabbath frontman. "Both Sharon and I are proud that Jack is facing his problems head on."

His wife meanwhile fears the family's TV series, The Osbournes, may be partially to blame for Jack's troubles. "If it hadn't been for the show this might not have happened," she said. "Underneath it all, Jack is just my little boy…"

"I love him more than I did yesterday for doing what's he's done. He wasn't forced into this situation. It was his decision, so I admire him all the more. All we can do is be here for him."
