Even in the company of fashion-forward names like Rihanna and American designer Betsey Johnson Kylie Minogue held her own at a New York gala on Thursday.
The 40-year-old beauty was on typically elegant form in a floor-length jersey gown for the charity do on Thursday evening. And she'd looked equally chic earlier in the day when she stepped out in a lacy black number as guest of honour at an Empire State Building ceremony.
Kylie – who was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2005 – was charged with the task of lighting up the city's landmark, which was bathed in red and white light into the early hours of the following morning.
Kylie's engagements in the Big Apple were accompanied by the news that she's to embark on her first ever tour of North America in the autumn. She kicks off the six-date tour on September 30 in California and ends in New York on October 11. She'll also play Las Vegas, LA, Chicago and Toronto.
"I've wanted to tour in America and Canada for years," says the pop princess. "I know fans have been waiting a long time for this and I'm thrilled the opportunity has finally arrived."
