Madonna is hands-on mum as she and sons watch Harry's polo game

She's a keen rider herself, but when you're at an equestrian event with two young boys in tow it's the children you have to focus on not the action, as Madonna discovered when she took Rocco, seven, and three-year-old David to a polo game in New York.

The Material Girl joined a host of US stars who'd turned out to see Prince Harry compete in a charity game in Central Park.

While Rocco, who's these days sporting an interesting shaven-sided haircut, seemed to be quite keen on the polo action, his younger brother seemed more interested in being the centre of his mum's attention - at one point hanging onto the front of her t-shirt.

While Madonna's 12-year-old daughter Lourdes, whose fitness trainer dad lives in New York, wasn't with the party, her mum's new man, Jesus Luz, was. The pair have been consistently linked romantically since the singer parted ways with director husband Guy Ritchie, despite Jesus' recent claims the pair are just friends.

Also hanging out in the VIP marquee were designer Marc Jacobs and photographer Steven Klein, who helped the Queen of Pop keep Rocco entertained. Kate Hudson, Chloe Sevigny and LL Cool J were also there to see the Prince in action.

And Harry didn't disappoint, setting up the winning goal in the 6-5 victory. The polo match, which was in aid of the charity he set up in honour of his late mother, was slotted into an event-filled, two-day official trip to the Big Apple, only his second to the US.
