Rocco Ritchie has just celebrated the opening of a new art exhibition, and he made sure the guest list was out of this world as his mum, Madonna, showed up to support him.
The new exhibition, which will run until 7 November, is titled Bach on the Brush, and is hosted at the Pierre Augustin Rose Gallery in Paris. The exhibition has been curated by Rocco and features paintings and sculptures that explore personal memory, observation, and lived experiences.
The exhibition opened to the public on Friday, and at a launch party, Rocco was seen alongside his megastar mum. Madonna looked so proud of her son as she embraced him.
The Like a Prayer singer was seen wearing a large fur coat, alongside a pair of pink designer shades and tiny denim shorts.
"Rocco Ritchie presents 'Bach on the Brush' at @pierre_augustin_rose," read a post about the exhibition. "Bach on the Brush brings together a new body of paintings and sculptures rooted in observation, memory and lived experience.
"Moving between the observed and the remembered, Ritchie transforms familiar subjects through an expressive and deeply personal language. On view until November 7th."
Fans were impressed by the exhibition, as well as Madonna's surprise appearance, as one enthused: "Madonna really just is the coolest chick on the planet," and a second posted: "Madonna looks STUNNING!!!"
A third commented: "Queen Mother Madonna," while many others replied with strings of heart emojis.
Rocco's life out of the spotlight
Despite being the son of one of the most famous people on the planet, Rocco has managed to live a life mostly out of the public eye. Earlier this year, the star disappeared for six months in order to work on a set of new artwork.
Rocco took to Instagram to share an update with his followers regarding his new work and travels. Alongside a photograph of himself painting a portrait in vibrant shades of red, he penned: "I spent the past six months in Mexico, Spain and Portugal, where I made a body of new paintings and a handful of sculptures. Very excited to be exhibiting with @pierre_augustin_rose this October in Paris."
The artist has previously opened up about his influential parentage. "I think people always judge you for whatever you are. Obviously, that means being labelled as such as, which in a way is kind of their problem and not mine. And it's up to me to focus on doing the work, and committing to my passion and my love toward making art," he told WWD.
"Well, I love them dearly so obviously I care in terms of what they say. They're also very talented in what they do. I definitely draw inspiration from their work."
