She has said that she can hardly remember her life before she joined the Harry Potter franchise. So it was to be expected that Emma Watson would feel emotional as she bade farewell to the boy wizard series at the premiere of the final film. The elegant young actress broke down in tears as she and Daniel Radcliffe and Rupert Grint paid tribute to the cast and crew.

Emma, beautiful in a tulle sleeveless gown with embroidered bodice and full skirt from Oscar de la Renta, rested her head on the shoulder of The Deathly Hallows Part 2 producer David Heyman. "I started out when I was nine and I'm now 21 and it's been everything," she said earlier. "It's where I went to school, it's where I met my friends, it's where I learned everything I know," she said.Daniel, dapper in a grey suit and waistcoat, told the crowd: "I don't think the end of the story happens tonight.

"Because each and every person who will see this film will carry this story with them through the rest of their lives." "A huge thank you to all of you, first of all for giving me a job, and Jo for letting him give me a job," he continued, referring to author JK Rowling and the film's producer. "Every opportunity I get from now on all goes down to the fact I got very, very lucky when I was eleven." But Emma told him: "You didn't 'get lucky' - you were and are the perfect Harry and will be forever." It was obviously an emotional moment for JK too, who enveloped the film's young stars in a warm hug. The author also wore Oscar de la Renta – a green silk faille gown with a sweetheart neckline featuring pink carnation motifs. Harry Potter fans from around the globe had flocked to London for the premiere. Many had been camping since Monday to secure a prime spot in Trafalgar Square. Famous faces turning out to see the new film included Guy Ritchie and his pregnant girlfriend Jaqui Ainsley.
