It's been nearly six years since Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston divorced.
But stories surrounding the Brad-Jen-Angelina triangle still refuse to die down.
The latest surfaced this week following an interview given by the actor to Parade magazine in which he favourably compared his romance with Angelina to the years he spent as a married man.
Not that his comments are likely to have affected Jennifer. With the internet abuzz with the transcript from the publication, the former Friends star is sailing through the latest hype with her usual poise.
Shortly after the news broke, the 42-year-old beauty was pictured smiling as she emerged from her Manhattan apartment with her new boyfriend Justin Theroux (below).
He has been a great support to Jennifer - particularly this week when she had to rush to LA to be by the bedside of her mother Nancy, who had suffered a stroke.
Indeed, the couple's relationship has been going from strength-to-strength since they went official in May. They recently moved into a two-bedroom home in the Hollywood Hills together, and Jen is clearly blissfully happy with her new beau.
Her ex also quickly released a statement clarifying the remarks he made about his relationship with Jen.
In his original interview, Brad, 47, is quoted as saying be began to "feel pathetic" during their time together, adding "I wasn't living an interesting life.
"I think my marriage had something to do with it," he said. "Trying to pretend the marriage was something that it wasn't."
But he has now spoken out to explain his comments.
"It grieves me the way this was interpreted," he has said. "Jen is an incredibly giving, loving and hilarious woman who remains my friend.
"It is an important relationship I value greatly.
"The point I was trying to make is not that Jen was dull, but that I was becoming dull to myself – and that, I am responsible for."
In the original interview, Brad also praised his partner Angelina, saying: "One of the greatest, smartest things I ever did was give my kids Angie as their mom.
"Oh man, I'm so happy to have her."
He also said that in contrast to his life in the 90s, he is very content.
"I put much more emphasis on being a satisfied man," Brad said, "I'm satisfied with making true choices and finding the woman I love, Angie, and building a family that I love so much.
