There was one very special guest at the LA premiere of Salma Hayek's latest film. Her four-year-old daughter, Valentina, looked like a red carpet natural at the Puss In Boots screening. Joining her 45-year-old actress mum the little lady in red posed alongside the feline lead character.
Proud mother Salma told of her delight at mixing Hollwood roles with domestic ones, and said she enjoyed making a movie her child could watch. "I got to bring my whole family, my daughter is over there. It's an honour to be a part of it," she said. Salma stars as Kitty Softpaws opposite Antonio Banderas, who reprises the swasbuckling Puss in the spin-off to the Shrek franchise.
Antonio said he never expected a new adventure without his sidekicks from the original films - Shrek, played by Mike Myers and Donkey, brought to life by Eddie Murphy. "I never thought it was going to happen. I miss the actors that I was working with, I thought they were unbelievable and great," he said. "But here he is by himself with another set of wonderful characters and wonderful actors to work with, and I'm very happy to be here."
