The Slumdog Millionaire director also pulled off another trick – he managed to get every last one to keep their lips sealed about the details of the £27-million spectacular. He secured their co-operation by displaying the hashtag "SaveTheSurprise" on giant screens around the stadium, which began trending on Twitter immediately. Some snippets had previously filtered out about the ceremony, which is titled the Isle of Wonders, and is inspired by Shakepeare's The Tempest.
