It's been four months since Jon Bon Jovi's life was turned upside down when he received a phone call telling him his daughter Stephanie had overdosed. The musician axed the majority of his work commitments to care for the teenager, as the family closed ranks to show their support.Happily now Stephanie is healthy and back on track - and so too is her father's busy schedule. Having performed a number of dates in the US already this year, Bon Jovi are heading over to the UK where they will make seven summer appearances throughout June and July as part of their Because We Can tour's European leg.

Among their dates, the chart-topping band will be taking centre stage at the British Summer Time concert in Hyde Park on 5 July. It what promises to be a great day of rock music, Bon Jovi will be joined by two big British stars, the Kaiser Chiefs and Bush, as part of the day's lineup.Livin' On A Prayer singer Jon has promised his band will be turning the volume "up to 11" on the night when they hit the stage. "We're just going to turn it up to 11 and let them deal with it," he said. "Hopefully all the authorities know all the words and will sing along. We'll push as hard as we can. "Other acts added to the line-up at the open air music festival include The Futureheads - who will perform on The Theatre stage - and former Busted and Fightstar frontman Charlie Simpson.

"With the clocks going forward on Sunday, despite the temperatures, British Summer Time really begins and it is timely to reveal the full lineup for the opening night of our 10 day event with headliners Bon Jovi," Rob Hallett, President of International Touring for AEG Live said. "More than just a concert, the bill illustrates why rock'n'roll remains as vibrant a force today as it ever has been." The Barclaycard British Summer Time Hyde Park concerts will run from 5 July to 14 July with more headliners announced in the coming weeks.
