In an upcoming interview with 60 Minutes, emotional Kylie, 46, speaks about her two-year romance with Michael, who she started dating in 1989.
He famously ended the relationship over the phone after meeting supermodel Helena Christensen, although the pair remained friends until his death.
"It's a mixture of emotions and memories," the Australian star can be seen saying in a promo for the interview. "I'd never met anyone like that."
As old footage of the couple is played, she concludes: "It was great love, and it was true heartbreak. I had so many firsts with him."
Kylie's romance with Michael, who died in November 1997, was recounted in a recent TV movie about the INXS frontman. The singer gave her approval to the show, saying it had reignited everyone's love for Michael – including her own.
"A guy with that much charisma, it doesn't just switch off, you don't just forget about that person," she previously told news.com.au. "I don't know what it was like for the other women in his life, but my love for him remains."
