Robin Williams' legacy lives on. The late actor - known for his incredible kindness, and, of course, his sense of humour – helped secure his young co-star a prom date  earlier this year during a break in filming Night At The Museum: Secret of the Tomb.

Skyler Gisondo enlisted the help of Robin and Ben Stiller to ask his date Hilary to his prom in a three-minute 'prom-posal' video filmed back in May.

"I realise that was the most awesome three minutes of my life and I've accepted it will go downhill from there," Skyler, who plays Ben's son in the film, told The Hollywood Reporter. "All morning, Robin was pitching more ideas. "He was saying, 'Can I say this? Would it be appropriate to say this?'

You're Robin Williams. You can say what you want!" The video sees Robin bursting onto the screen with a "Yo, yo, yo", wearing a beanie hat and jacket, before saying, "Yo Hilary, will you go to the prom with my man here, my man Skyler?"

The talented comedian moves between skits and takes on a number of personas in the clip, including pretending to command imaginary dancers and coordinate a catwalk. He then feigns tears as Skyler finally asks his date to the prom with the help of Crystal the Monkey, adding, "A monkey and a rose, that's so Freudian." Perhaps unsurprisingly, Skyler confirmed that his prom date did accept his invitation.

"Robin was this bottomless reservoir of kindness and hilarity," he added. "It was just so special to work so closely with this guy whose movies I've grown up with and watch his preparedness and his kindness."
