She was always known as a great dancer in Girls Aloud, and on Friday Cheryl Fernandez-Versini showed off just how long she had been practising her dancing skills. The pop star shared a flashback Friday picture with her fans on Instagram - and let the picture do the talking as she posted it without comment.
The shot showed a split of Cheryl as a young girl posing with a dance trophy after winning a children's competition, and Cheryl in a similar pose years later on stage.
The later picture of Cheryl was taken on stage during a tour with Girls Aloud - and with glitter falling around her, the older Cheryl is seen wearing a grin just as big as her younger self.
The sweet snap came seven days after Cheryl posted another throwback to herself as young girl wearing a polka dot crop top, with matching jacket and bow in her hair. The picture was shared in honour of a cause close to Cheryl's heart, her charity Cheryl's Trust, and as promotion for a competition the singer was running.
Cheryl found fame alongside Nadine Coyle, Nicola Roberts, Sarah Harding and Kimberley Walsh on talent show Popstars: The Rivals in 2002.
The five became one of Britain's most successful girl bands of all time, and in 2008 31-year-old Cheryl went on to become an X Factor judgem before making a hugely popular return to the show in 2014.
Despite years of heartbreak, Cheryl found love in 2014 with Jean-Bernard Fernandez-Versini, and the pair married in a quick and secret ceremony in July. She revealed the news on Instagram, posting a picture of her engagement and wedding ring.
"I usually do not discuss my personal life but to stop the speculation I want to share my happy news... Jean-Bernard and I married on 7/7/14..," read the text accompanying the picture.
