Country singer Randy Rogers and his wife Chelsea are mourning the loss of their baby daughter Rumer Rain, who died just six days after she was born. Randy himself announced the tragic news on local radio station 93Q Country.
"Rumer passed away last night," he said. "She died after a week-long battle with a very rare condition. She died in our arms and in no pain. She was absolutely beautiful in every way. Her brain however was very sick."

Following Randy's radio appearance, his band posted a message on their Facebook fan page.
"Rumer Rain Rogers, daughter of Randy and Chelsea Rogers, passed away last night at Seton Memorial Hospital in Austin, Texas," it read. "Rumer died of natural causes, in her parents loving arms, just days after her birth.
"During this time of grieving, the family asks that individuals wishing to offer condolences make a donation to the children's charity of their choosing," the post continued. "The family thanks you for your love and support."
Following the sad announcement, Randy Rogers Band confirmed that their forthcoming gig on Friday would not be taking place, but that they would be back in action at the weekend.
"Out of respect for the Rogers family, RRB will be cancelling the show at the Lumberyard this Friday night. Thanks for understanding. -TeamRRB," they tweeted. "RRB will play Laredo on Sat, allowing RR to get on stage & do what he's most comfortable doing - play music."
