Peter Andre carries new wife Emily MacDonagh over the threshold

They married at the weekend in a romantic ceremony in front of family and friends, and on Tuesday Peter Andre proudly carried his new wife Emily MacDonagh over the threshold of their Surrey home for the very first time. Peter, 42, shared an adorable photo of the couple on Instagram, showing them both looking over the moon following their wedding. "Carrying my new wife over the threshold :))))," he captioned the snapshot.

In the picture, 25-year-old Emily can be seen raising one arm in the air in celebration, the other wrapped tightly round her new husband's neck as he brings her inside their house.

Peter and Emily – who have a 17-month-old daughter, Amelia, together – tied the knot on Saturday after a three-year romance. They chose the beautiful and historic Mamhead House on the outskirts of Exeter for the ceremony and reception.

The wedding came around sooner than expected; Peter had previously said he would marry his fiancée in 2016, but earlier this month revealed there had been a change of plan.

"It was always going to be next year," the dad-of-three said on Loose Women. "But I think we're going to do it this year now because I think that's nicer.

"I'm a man and I can't plan too much," he added. "But it's definitely this year."

Peter, who first met Emily after her doctor father treated him for kidney stones, started dating the pretty brunette in 2012 while she was studying medicine at the University of Bristol. The pair immediately hit it off, and welcomed their daughter Amelia in January 2014.

The singer also has two children, Junior, ten, and eight-year-old Princess Tiaamii, from his previous marriage to glamour model Katie Price, who has since remarried twice.
