Justin Bieber shares selfie with unlikely friend Jennifer Aniston

Justin Bieber has a number of high profile friends and fans, but none quite as surprising as Jennifer Aniston. The What Do You Mean? singer shared a selfie of himself and the recently married actress together on Instagram on Wednesday, much to the surprise of some of his fans.

The black-and-white snap shows Jennifer smiling as she stands next to the 21-year-old, who appeared shocked to be in the company of the Friends actress. It is not known where the pair met, but it is likely to have been backstage at The Ellen Show, where Justin is celebrating his new album release with "Bieber Week".

While Justin and Jennifer appear to be unlikely friends, they do have one thing in common – Selena Gomez. Justin's former girlfriend has previously proclaimed Jennifer to be her idol, and revealed that they had struck up a friendship after meeting in December.

"We met through my management… they manage her as well, so it was kind of like a friendly meeting and instantly she's, like, inviting me to her house," Selena said during an interview with KTU radio in June. "She has a pizza oven. Like, we've made pizzas at her house. She's very cool and very sweet. She kind of gives me a lot of, like, maternal advice."

While Selena and Justin parted ways after a tumultuous three-year relationship, the Canadian singer has recently said they still talk and she will always have a special place in his life.

"She's my homie, we're friends," Justin told Us Weekly. "We don't talk every day. But every now and then. I think we didn't really know what we're doing. [We were] young and we kinda just invested too much of ourselves into each other."

He also said he had learned a lot from their relationship. "About life, how to treat women, what women want and need. I think a woman needs security," Justin said. "I think a woman needs to feel that security and know that nothing else matters. I learned that with her."
