Famed milliner Philip Treacy also posted a public message. "Many congratulations to the fantastic Jerry Hall who marries tomorrow," he wrote, alongside a throwback picture of Jerry on the catwalk.

Rupert, 84, and Jerry, 59, tied the knot in a low-key civil ceremony on 4 March, two months after getting engaged and less than a year after they were first introduced. They will then celebrate their nuptials on Saturday 5 March with a blessing at St Bride's Church on Fleet Street in London – appropriately known as the Journalists' Church.

They announced their engagement in the births, deaths and marriages section of The Times – one of Rupert's own newspapers – in January. A spokesperson said: "They have loved these past months together, are thrilled to be getting married and excited about their future."
