After months of eager anticipation, the highly anticipated second season of The Celebrity Traitors has finally arrived.

The beloved series, hosted by Claudia Winkleman, sees 21 famous faces descend upon the iconic Ardross Castle in the Scottish Highlands and battle it out for the chance to win up to £100,000 for a charity of their choice. Faithfuls are tasked with trying to seek out the murderous Traitors among them, who are actively killing off players in the middle of the night.

The new season follows the huge success of the first-ever series, which saw Traitor Alan Carr crowned the winner after deceiving his co-stars, Faithfuls David Olusoga and Nick Mohammed.

Now, the BBC series is back with a ridiculously star-studded line-up. Keep reading to find out which stars are among the cast and when the show will air.

Ardross Castle will open its doors to a host of major stars for the second series. This year's cohort includes:

The Celebrity Traitors season 2 release date and schedule 

The Celebrity Traitors returns on Thursday 1 October at 8pm on BBC One and BBC iPlayer. 

The series will air two nights a week on Thursday and Friday evenings at 8pm.

The show's official video podcast The Celebrity Traitors: Uncloaked will also return to BBC One, BBC iPlayer and BBC Sounds. Host Ed Gamble will be joined by banished and murdered players, as well as previous celebrity and non celebrity players to dissect the latest betrayals. 

The Celebrity Traitors: Uncloaked airs on BBC One straight after the main series, and on BBC Sounds and BBC iPlayer.
