Nadiya Hussain has been given her biggest challenge yet: baking a cake fit for a queen. The Great British Bake Off winner has revealed that she will be baking Queen Elizabeth II's 90th birthday cake, joking that she "couldn't say no."
Chatting to the hosts on ITV's Loose Women, the 31-year-old said: "How often can you say that you are baking the Queen’s birthday cake in one sentence? Sometimes I want to drown it out because I don’t want to talk about it. I can’t say no to the Queen, can I?"

Nadiya was excited to share the news
The reigning champ of the immensely popular baking show revealed she would be serving an orange drizzle cake with orange curd and buttercream for the big day on April 21st. She told the panel: "I thought 'Let's do something a little bit different', and revealed that the cake would be "very citrusy."
Nadiya joked that while her two sons were excited to hear about their mum's plans, her daughter got the wrong end of the stick. She said: "When I told the kids, the boys were great at keeping it a secret. I told my daughter and she said, ‘Oh Mary Berry? You’ve made lots of cakes for Mary Berry."
Nadiya's daughter got the Queen mixed up with Mary Berry
Nadiya, who is now a columnist for The Times magazine and achieved a book deal earlier this year, plans to personally deliver the cake to Windsor castle, where the Queen will be celebrating, next Thursday. However, she has also claimed to be daunted by the prospect of baking for royalty, saying: "I'm so nervous I can't even look at the oven right now."
This isn't the mother-of-three's only royal connection, as earlier this year the star joined the Duchess of Cambridge on the list of top 500 most influential people named by Debrett's, the publishers of a number of etiquette guides.
