Stacey Solomon opens up about her 'amazing' relationship with Joe Swash

Stacey Solomon couldn't be happier in her relationship with Joe Swash. The former I'm a Celebrity winner said she feels "really lucky" to be dating the 34-year-old during an appearance on ITV's Lorraine on Thursday morning.

Talking to presenter Lorraine Kelly about her relationship, she said: "Things have gone really, really well. I feel really lucky. He's lovely."

Stacey admitted that romance had blossomed when they were both in Australia filming for the I'm a Celebrity spin-off show in November.

"We met loads of times, we'd sort of crossed paths and been in each other's company but we actually spent the most time with each other in Australia, so yeah that's where, I guess," Stacey said.

"I get all embarrassed talking about it because it's like I know he'll be watching [the Lorraine show]."

The mother-of-two said she was initially drawn to Joe's down to earth character, describing him as an "amazing guy".

"He's normal, he's just so normal and down to earth and lovely and reminds me of me, and my family, and reminds me of home," Stacey said. "He is amazing, he's just an amazing guy. He's going to have such a big head after this show. I hope he is still in bed asleep!"

Stacey also wouldn't rule out working with her boyfriend in the future.

"I mean that would be so much fun," she said. "Yeah it would be amazing, I'd love that. What a dream job."

Joe and Stacey's relationship came to light in January, and comes after she split from Jackass star Steve-O in July.

X Factor runner-up Stacey called off her engagement to Aaron Barnham, the father of her youngest child Leighton, in April 2014. Former EastEnders actor Joe, meanwhile, was previously in a relationship with former co-star Kara Tointon. He also has an eight-year-old son Harry with ex-girlfriend Emma Sophocleous.
