Lucy-Jo Hudson's marriage to Alan Halsall is right back on track. The couple, who confirmed their reconciliation just a few weeks ago, were the picture of happiness as they headed out to a fancy dress party on Saturday night.

Lucy-Jo, 33, uploaded a sweet photo from the celebrations, showing her in costume as Ariel, the Little Mermaid, carrying a cuddly toy of Flounder under her arm. Her husband, meanwhile, opted to go as Ace Ventura, sporting an oversized quiff and a bright Hawaiian shirt.

The couple seem in high spirits in the snapshot, Lucy-Jo throwing her arm around 33-year-old Alan as they beam for the camera. "What a top night!!!! Love a bit of fancy dress!!! #littlemermaid #aceventure #birthdaycelebrations xxx," she wrote alongside.

Lucy-Jo and Coronation Street star Alan confirmed they were back together at the start of May – just six weeks after announcing their separation. Alan revealed the happy reconciliation when he shared a heartfelt post to his "beautiful wife" in honour of her 33rd birthday. "Love you so much darling, and cannot wait for Paris," he tweeted.

The couple – who are parents to daughter Sienna-Rae - announced their split in March after seven years of marriage. Shortly afterwards, Lucy-Jo said she was finding the separation "difficult" but she said remained "best mates" with her husband.

"We'll remain friends and I genuinely mean that, we still care for each other," she said during an appearance on Loose Women. "We're so amicable and we get on, we speak every day. We're still best mates."

Lucy-Jo and Alan started dating in 2005 after meeting on the set of Coronation Street. That same year, the actress left the soap after three years playing Katy Harris. The couple then tied the knot in 2009 and welcomed their daughter in September 2013.
