Liam Payne looked quite the part at the KIIS FM concert in Carson, California on Saturday. The singer wore a Gucci jacket to the music event, which was emblazoned with two dogs on the front wearing chains attached to their collars. The Mail reports that the jacket cost a pricey £2000! Liam took to his Instagram page to show off the expensive jacket, which the paper revealed was also worn by singer Elton John in December last year. Liam posted a close-up photo of his red Gucci top, and referring to the dogs, simply captioned it: “Say hello to Ert and Bernie.” The star’s 13.3million followers loved the picture and gave it over 400,000 likes in just nine hours!
The concert was the place to be on Saturday, with performances by Maroon 5, Backstreet Boys, Miley Cyrus and Katy Perry. Liam’s One Direction bandmate Niall Horan was also singing at the show and the two friends caught up backstage. Niall posted a photo of the pair together at the event on his Twitter page and wrote: “Great to see Payno today. Here I am being christened with ‘the chain’. Miss ya buddie.” In the picture, you can see Liam giving his pal Niall the gold chain he was wearing. One fan wrote: “I was waiting for this! Ah, we haven’t seen the boys hang out together in so long.”
Liam has been in America working on his new solo album, with his debut single due for release on 19 May. The star posted a preview video of the new song on Instagram, telling fans: "Mad excited to announce my new single Strip That Down ft @quavonhuncho out May 19." He has also recently become a father to baby boy Bear with partner Cheryl.
Speaking at a small gathering during a visit to B96 Radio this week, the 23-year-old opened up about little Bear’s features, and revealed how the couple came to choose his unusual name. One fan relayed some of Liam's responses on Twitter, writing: "Wait ya'll, I just remembered that Liam talked about naming the baby Bear!!! He said that he's really into traditional names and Cheryl is really into outlandish unique names. But he didn't even fight about it because Cheryl was the one doing all the work," she tweeted, adding a crying laughing emoji. Bear was born on 22 March and has been kept out of the spotlight since then.
