Congratulations are in order for Scuderia Ferrari F1 driver Charles Leclerc and his wife Alexandra, who have welcomed their first child together - a girl.
In a joint Instagram post, the couple shared their wonderful news, posting a picture of their new bundle of joy, revealing the newborn's legs in a pink knitted babygrow and super-sweet beige booties.
They captioned the image: "Bianca [love heart] 3.11.26," revealing their chosen name for the baby as well as the fact she was born on Tuesday. The name Bianca originates from Italy and is linked to innocence and purity as it translates to the colour white which is often associated with these qualities.
Fans were quick to send their well wishes and congratulations to the couple when their announcement dropped, and comments included: "Congratulations, welcome Bianca," and: "Welcome in the world, Bianca. Congrats to mom and dad."
Their pregnancy news was announced in August, and in October Charles proudly posted himself practicing navigating a pram around, via his Instagram feed.
No doubt the happy couple will be on cloud nine, but Charles will also need to be focused on his work as this weekend marks the São Paulo Grand Prix. Currently, he is fifth in the Drivers’ Championship with 245 points.
Racing News 365 reports that Charles was quizzed on his balance between work and family life while in the US and he clearly said: "I don't think I'll miss a race."
Secret wedding
It's been a wonderful year for the couple, who had a secret wedding earlier in the year.
The couple first sparked buzz in February when clips from Monaco showed them driving off in a rare, £9 million vintage Ferrari - both dressed in white, with Alexandra cradling a bouquet. They later made it official on social media, sharing charming photos from their low-key civil wedding, surrounded only by family and their beloved dog, Leo.
The pair have since confirmed that a larger wedding will be held in 2027. At a press conference, Charles shared: "We will do another one with all of our closest friends, in actually quite a bit of time, just to take some time to organise it properly. But it's been good.
"I mean, it's been obviously an amazing day and [I] took a lot of positivity on the flight because I went straight to fly here in Melbourne. So still very happy, and the excitement of the wedding and the excitement of starting the race tomorrow as well."
