Bono turns 58
A very happy birthday to the iconic U2 singer! Bono has had a busy year, and recently backed a new start-up technology trucking company, Convoy, along with U2's lead guitarist, The Edge, joining Bill Gates and Amazon's chief executive, Jeff Bezos. Speaking about their involvement, the start-up's co-founder Dan Lewis said: "Bono and The Edge know more about trucking than you might think. They’ve spent most of their adult lives touring the world with U2, and trucks are an essential part of moving the show from city to city."

Al Murray turns 50
A landmark birthday for Al Murray! The comedian, who was listed as one of Channel 4's 100 Greatest Stand-Ups in 2007 and 2010, was sent well-wishes on Twitter, with Richard Grant writing: "Happy Birthday @almurray. Hope you have a wonderful day!" Al also retweeted a birthday message of an army general looking through binoculars while the caption read: "@almurray looks like they’re celebrating Murray’s birthday all along the line. Put a stop to it."&

Happy birthday Sally! The star, who is best known for her iconic role as the potty-mouthed Shazza in the Bridget Jones films, will most likely be celebrating her birthday with her three sons, Oliver, Tom and Luke. The actress and writer is also known for co-creating the hit comedy series, Smack the Pony.
