The late Sir Bobby Charlton was one of England's finest footballers, being a key part of the team that brought the World Cup home in 1966, and having a stellar national career.

As part of Manchester United's 'Busby Babes', the star became a legend, being capped 758 times for the side, scoring a total of 249 goals; he became the club's top goal scorer, a record that wasn't broken until 2017 by Wayne Rooney. He was also one of the survivors of the horrific Munich air disaster, a plane crash that claimed the lives of eight of his Manchester United teammates.

Although some footballers are famed for their headline-grabbing love lives, Sir Bobby kept his simple, meeting his wife, Norma Ball, at a Manchester ice rink in 1959. The couple married in 1961, five years before the footballer won at Wembley Stadium.

The couple welcomed two daughters, Suzanne and Andrea, and while Andrea has remained out of the spotlight, Suzanne became a famous BBC presenter.

Here's all you need to know about the star…

While Bobby is famed as a professional footballer, Suzanne had a much different interest, with the star instead having an interest in the weather, which started in her teenage years.

At the age of 23, Suzanne started working at the Met Office as a computer programmer plotting weather charts, and four years later, she joined the BBC as a presenter, becoming the third female weather presenter on the network in history.

She remained on the network for ten years before she took maternity leave in 1999, after welcoming a son with professional tennis player Nick Brown. She remained off-air until 2006, but she retired from broadcasting the following year.

Answering fan questions in 2017 for FourFourTwo, the England legend was asked about his daughter and whether he had inspired her on her meteorological route. "No, she didn't get it from me, she's much more intelligent," he confessed.

"She doesn't do that now: she has a young boy, and sometimes she had to work through the night. She's a very intelligent girl. So is my other girl, Andrea, who's a physiotherapist."
