He may be renowned for being one of the most menacing chefs on British television, but Gordon Ramsay has revealed that he is "petrified" of becoming a grandfather.
The TV chef's middle daughter, Holly Ramsay, revealed she is expecting a baby with her Olympic swimmer husband, Adam Peaty, 31, last week. But now Gordon has confessed his concerns about becoming a grandfather for the first time.
© Dave Benett/Getty Images for GorThe confession came while dad-of-six Gordon chatted to Match of the Day star Gary Lineker - who is also set to become a grandfather for the first time soon - on the latest episode of his show The Rest Is Football.
Gordon said: "I am secretly petrified because until they can talk and communicate with you, you can't do much, we're not going to [expletive] breastfeed, are we?"
Holly's pregnancy announcement
Despite his apprehensions, Gordon said he was delighted about the news when Holly unveiled her pregnancy to the world last week.
Taking to her Instagram account, the 26-year-old influencer shared a beautiful photograph of her and her husband, with their arms around one another, Holly showing off her blossoming baby bump.

Proud dad Gordon was one of the first to comment on the exciting news, writing: "Congratulations to you both, sending lots of love Dad [red heart emoji]. I’m going to be a very overexcited Grandad, especially this Christmas."
Gordon and Holly's special bond
There is no denying that Gordon and Holly have an exceptionally close bond; the pair is often seen hand in hand when attending high-profile events together.
In honour of Father's Day, newlywed Holly penned a heartfelt message to her adoring father, and, ahead of her due date in December, made a special reference to the chef becoming a grandfather for the first time.

She added: "I can't wait to see you become a grandad [face holding back tears and star emojis]."
Holly also penned a heartfelt message to Adam, who is already the proud father of his five-year-old son George, ahead of their baby girl's arrival. "You are the best dad ever, and I can't wait to see you as a girl dad," she gushed.
"Our little lady and George are so lucky to have you," she added. "We love you so much."
