Adam Ramsay-Peaty celebrated his silver medal relay win at the Commonwealth Games on Wednesday.
And while all eyes were on the 31-year-old as he took second place, some may have missed the heartwarming moment when the swimmer rushed over to celebrate with his pregnant wife, Holly Ramsay-Peaty, pausing to plant a kiss on her bump.
After scoring second place, the three-time Olympic Gold medallist was seen rejoicing with his bride, with Holly cupping his face in a passionate kiss. Adam, who already has a son from a previous relationship, then leaned down to kiss his wife's belly.
The couple announced they were expecting their first child in an Instagram post on 20 June. This year's swimming event marked the first time Adam has hit the pool since changing his name earlier this year.
The Team England Gold medalist married celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay's daughter, Holly Ramsay, in December. As they exchanged vows, so too did they exchange names, with the couple opting to have a double-barrelled surname - Ramsay-Peaty.
Major disappointment
Much to his disappointment, Adam left the arena with a bronze medal in his first race, tearfully expressing his disappointment in an interview afterwards.
During the interview, Adam was asked about the interaction and whether his wife had said anything to him. "She's always proud of me and, you know, as a father, it doesn't matter if you come home with a gold, as long as you come home with a teddy - which I did."
On Monday, he received a second bronze medal before clinching a silver with his teammates in the 4x100m. Sharing her support for her husband following his emotional bronze medal, Holly said the couple would go "through the good and bad together".
In a heartfelt message shared to social media, she wrote: "Watching your come back to championship racing has been inspiring; it’s not been an easy journey, but your determination and faith have never wavered, and we will keep going, through the good and the bad together. 52 International Championship Medals is truly incredible. You reminded us what it costs to keep coming back."
Family feud
Elsewhere in the interview, Adam expressed his upset at his ongoing family feud, describing the "toll" it had already taken on his career.
The swimmer excluded several family members, including his parents, from his wedding to Holly, with only his sister Bethany receiving an invite.
It's believed that the dispute was started when Holly failed to invite Adam's mother, Caroline, to her hen-do. Later reports suggested that she would be "banned" from the big day, much to the heartbreak of the mother.
