Britney Spears' son Jayden has scoffed at conspiracy theories that his mom is no longer alive, taking to Instagram Live to say those who believe the rumors are "tweaking".
In screen-recorded footage of the Live shared online, the 19-year-old model said: "I see this one video [on TikTok] that has like 1.2 million likes and then the caption is like, 'The biggest theory ever: Is Britney Spears still alive?' Bro, you can go to her page and see her right now. Are you guys tweaking?"
Jayden was driving in a car with a friend in the video, with the friend asking him questions posed by followers. One question, as per the screenshot, read: "Is your mom a clone or is the internet crazy?"
"Do you find it silly when people spread rumors like clone theory?" his friend asked, to which Jayden laughed and the friend added: "Yes, he does find it ridiculous!'
"It makes me really know that a lot of the stuff on media is exaggerated and fake. People know how gullible people are, and they use that to their advantage, and anyone who sees that on [social] media, they see it, and if it has a lot of likes, they believe it. They don’t even research it. They’re just, 'Wow, yeah, it’s crazy. I believe it though'," admitted Jayden.
"I honestly feel bad. I get it, though, how everyone is like a really huge fan of my mom, but you got to think stuff on [social ] media - it's never as overthinking [sic] as they make it seem. Like, don't overthink it. It's not as complicated as it seems."
These theories have peaked recently on TikTok and other social media platforms because of the singer's eccentric dancing videos and cryptic captions, which have led fans to overanalyze the videos for so-called clues.
Jayden's comments come four months after Britney was voluntarily admitted to a rehabilitation facility following a DUI incident, two months after claims she acted 'wild and chaotic' in a restaurant,' and weeks after she caused alarm when she was spotted standing through the sunroof of her moving SUV as it sped down Los Angeles' 101 Freeway.
Jayden, and his older brother Sean, both reportedly encouraged their mom to get the help she needed.
The pair were raised by their father, Kevin Federline, who was given full custody as Britney spent most of her boys' childhood under a conservatorship.
Preston recently changed his Instagram handle to include the last name Spears, to reflect his growing relationship with his mom
Jayden and Sean have also both begun to make their own strides into Hollywood. Jayden is an aspiring model and singer, and made his runway debut in March, alongside brother Sean, at the Vetements Menswear Spring/Summer 2027 show during Paris Fashion Week.
"She wasn't there with us, but she sent us flowers to our hotel as a good luck thing and called and texted us so many times," Jayden later told Vogue of how their mom was supporting them. "It was good to have that and to carry that with us before we went out there."
"Oh my god, she was so nervous for us," he continued. "She was just looking out for us and making sure that this was what we wanted to do."
