The most outrageous luxury hotel requests made by touring A-list celebrities

As the Queen of Pop, it's not surprising Madonna has a few extra requests to make when she makes a temporary home on tour.

 According to 29 Secrets, the singer requested that her hotel room be emptied and filled with her own travelling furniture. Her eye for detail reportedly goes even further in her dressing room, requesting lilies and roses with 6-inch long stems.

Kanye West reportedly has several highly specific demands when he travels away from home, from the exact shape of flower vases to discontinued tech.

Hotel demands apparently include black towels, Kashi Go Lean cereal, discontinued Genelecs 1031a speakers and cylindrical vases only.

No-one defined an extravagant pop persona like Prince. We're still humming 'Purple Rain' to this day and mourning the loss of the music legend.

Prince’s demands were highly specific to his environment. For his 2004 tour rider, the artist famously required that all items in his dressing room be covered in clear plastic wrap until he personally uncovered them. He also requested a physician on standby to administer B-12 injections, alongside Yogi cocoa tea and jasmine and lavender candles

Sometimes celebrity requests aren't about what's in the room, it's who's sharing your floor. Geri Halliwell reportedly knew exactly which neighbours she wanted to avoid and didn't hesitate to make that dream a reality.

Geri reportedly wished to book out a floor of the Hilton to avoid the members of Steps, who were performing on the same bill as the singer in 2001.

Salvador Dalí is still one of the most well-known and internationally recognised surrealist artists in history, with particular thanks to his melting clock piece The Persistence of Memory. While others headed south for the winter, Salvador spent the colder months in New York. 

But the artist brought a strange group of guests along with him and his wife, including his pet ocelot Babou. He reportedly demanded additional animal companions be delivered, once ordering a horse to his suite and calling room service to order a flock of sheep.

We've all been humbled by the bright lights of a changing room stall or slept under uncomfortably starched sheets. But Nicole Kidman has apparently decided to use her star power to avoid these inconveniences.

While planning to stay at the Four Seasons in Chicago, she reportedly sent over her own Italian sheets complete with an instruction manual for making the bed. She's also been known to ask her assistants to swap 60-watt bulbs for 40-watt, for a more flattering light.

Some of Jay-Z's requests point to his parental love, reportedly requesting that his hotel room be child-proofed while Blue Ivy was still young. 

But others apparently skew more towards megastar tastes, including a room temperature of 71 degrees, 3 $80 Mayan tuberose candles and a bottle of Ace of Spades champagne.
