Blue Ivy certainly isn't afraid of eclipsing her famous dad, Jay-Z, when it comes to the duo sharing the stage. The 14-year-old made a surprise appearance during the opening night of her father's concert at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles on October 23.
Beyonce's daughter stole the spotlight as she took to the stage to deliver an impressive piano performance. Jay-Z performed hits , including "The Story of OJ" and "Dead Presidents", alongside his eldest child.
Following the duet, Blue Ivy hugged her father, bowed, and blew kisses to the audience before flashing a peace sign as she walked off. The rising star wore a pink-and-blue leather jacket and layered statement necklaces for a touch of glitz. Blue Ivy's curly locks were styled into a half-up, half-down look. For a bold play on her makeup, she opted for glittering blue eyeshadow.
Jay-Z's previous shows that celebrated the anniversaries of "The Blueprint" and "Reasonable Doubt, featured a slew of surprise guests, including Beyoncé, Rihanna, and Eminem.
Blue Ivy's stardom
This isn't the first time that Blue Ivy has commanded the stage with such professionalism. The preteen has been taking part in her mom's tours since 2023. She even had a larger performing role in the Cowboy Carter tour compared to the Renaissance tour.
In Renaissance: A Film by Beyoncé, the pop icon opened up about her daughter's involvement with the tour. Beyoncé revealed that it was her daughter who wanted to join the show, but the singer wasn't initially on board. "She told me she was ready to perform, and I told her no," the star admitted.
Blue Ivy's stylist, Manuel Mendez, previously chatted to HELLO! about working with the Carters. "I've worked for the family for over ten years now. I'm so grateful," he said. Manuel came to meet Beyoncé through her stylist, Ty Hunter, ahead of the I Am tour, who introduced him to Tina Knowles. "She's like my niece," he said of Blue Ivy.
"Slowly and at special events he invited me to, I met Tina Knowles (Beyoncé mother) who’s like another mother to me," he revealed.
The 14-year-old has stepped even further into the spotlight this year as she graced the 2026 Met Gala alongside her famous parents. Blue Ivy wore a white corseted gown courtesy of Balenciaga. The garment was styled with a dramatic cape, a pair of bejewelled silver heels, and a diamond-encrusted necklace.
