Richard Gere, 76, was in holiday mode as he spent time with his two sons on a recent sun-soaked family trip to the sea.
In a wholesome moment captured by his wife Alejandra Silva, 43, on camera, the actor strolled along a sandy beach while holding hands with one of his young sons. The Pretty Woman star shares two sons with his wife Alejandra – Alexander, seven, and James, six – whom he keeps largely out of the limelight.
"Some moments I wish I could keep forever," Alejandra captioned the rare family snap on Instagram, in which Richard looked relaxed in a T-shirt and shorts.
"Just us, the sea, and nowhere else to be. Hope you also had some time to rest and regenerate."

Richard and his family decided to relocate to Alejandra's native Spain in 2024. After a stint in Madrid, they decided to move back to the US. "Deeply grateful for a life built between two countries, two cultures, and so many people we love," the couple captioned family photos from a day out in New York to mark the Fourth of July.
Richard and Alejandra share the occasional family update and photo, choosing to obscure their young sons' faces in social media posts. The couple have also spoken previously about their faith and how they draw on Buddhism to help them solve family issues.
When asked how their shared faith influences their parenting, Richard told HELLO! in 2025: "Well, interesting you should bring that up, because we were just having a drama about one of our kids. [Alejandra] is always really good with [saying]: 'OK, I know I want to strangle you right now, but I’m going to take a deep breath and we’re going to talk through this. OK, now what’s going on? I'd like to know what are you feeling.'"
"Like Richard has said before, there is a lot of patience that is brought into the equation," Alejandra said. "Introducing the kids to Buddhism and what it means is important." Richard added: "She’s an incredible mother that way. I’ve actually learnt how to be a better father by watching her."

© Instagram/ @alejandragereRichard and Alejandra both have a child from previous relationships. The Hollywood actor became a first-time father in 2000 when his son Homer, whom he shares with his ex-wife Carey Lowell, was born.
Now that he's all grown up, Homer has followed in his father's footsteps to pursue acting. The 26-year-old up-and-coming star made his major television debut in the third season of HBO's Euphoria this year. "He's very good," Richard previously praised his son in an interview with ExtraTV.
Richard is also a stepfather to Alejandra's son, Albert, 13, from a previous relationship.
